All potential candidates must proclaim their intent within this period. The Declaration of
Candidacy process consists of the 100% completion of the information pamphlet which includes a typed essay, letter of recommendation from administration/ staff, student information, and a thorough understanding of the duties, responsibilities, expectations, and role of the specific
position in which the potential candidate has expressed interest. All potential candidates must attend an information session conducted by current S.G.A. members along with a faculty
advisor. All information pamphlets must be complete and turned in no later than April 23rd.
Any and all potential candidates who completed and turned in the information pamphlet by the
deadline, will be contacted and notified of their eligibility status.
All candidates must attend and participate in the Candidate Forum which will be
open for the entire student body to attend. At this forum the students will be able to view all of the candidates as well as hear what ideas they may have. Also candidates will be able to answer questions from the student body.
During the election process, ballots will be placed in the front and rear of the school.
Students will be able to place a single vote by making a selection on the voting ticket and placing either their school
I.D. number or the last digits of their social security number on the ticket.
