At Sojourner-Douglass College, what we look
for in a student is the ability to succeed-high motivation and emotional
maturity as well as scholastic achievement and aptitude. Although the
student population is primarily comprised of adult students with a
common sense of determination in the pursuit of betterment through
education, there is still considerable diversity within the student
population. Our student population is a reflection of our greater
community, bonded by a commitment to pursue education as a means of
personal and community empowerment. The Sojourner-Douglass College
experience empowers adults to improve the quality of their lives.

The Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (PACS)
enhances the capacity of Sojourner-Douglass College to address the personal,
professional and skill development needs of its students by offering a variety
of non-credit and certificate programs.
