The Division of Professional and
Continuing Studies (PACS) coordinates classes for
students during the late afternoon, week-ends, early morning and noon. Offerings are designed to meet the needs of those
wanting to increase professional competence or prepare for new jobs or careers, or those seeking to pursue personal interests.
Adult high school graduates or non-high school graduates who are not interested in earning a degree may enroll in continuing
studies courses.
PACS enhances the capacity of Sojourner-Douglass College to address the personal, professional
and skill development needs of its students by offering a variety of non-credit and certificate programs. Specialized courses or programs not included within degree programs are offered under the
Continuing Studies Program. Courses or special programs may be designed to satisfy employment related requirements. These include mini-courses, seminars, or other innovative programs. Employers may also contract with the College for
the design and articulation of courses for specialized employee needs.
